Philips Introduces New X-tremeVision LED Replacement Bulbs

The new bulbs are direct replacements for selected incandescent miniatures, and can deliver up to five times more light output, Philips says.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Philips Automotive Lighting North America now offers a new line of LED miniatures designed to provide automotive enthusiasts with the opportunity to add more style and increased illumination to their vehicle’s interior and exterior. The bulbs are based on high-powered LEDs and offer significant advantages when used as upgrades or replacements for incandescent miniature lamps, according to Philips.

New Philips X-tremeVision LED Interior bulbs are designed as direct replacements for a vehicle’s standard incandescent miniatures. They deliver high-power LED illumination and up to five times more light output while consuming substantially less energy, the company says.

These new X-tremeVision LED bulbs are available in two light color temperatures: 4,000 K and 6,000 K. The 4,000 K white light is much closer to daylight than a traditional incandescent interior bulb. The 6,000 K version takes it up a notch and delivers the bright white look of Xenon HID, yet consumes 13 times less energy, according to Philips.

Both lamps are available in a variety of configurations. They are heat-resistant and designed for a perfect geometrical fit in the existing bulb socket, Philips adds.
