The Federated-ATP “TTech Sweepstakes” was designed to tie in with ATP’s involvement in the Federated-sponsored “Two Guys Garage” television show that airs on SPEED. The premise of the “Two Guys Garage” episode featuring ATP focused on performing transmission fluid service and how it is imperative that the service include a pan drop and transmission filter replacement to do the job right.
ATP Introduces Remanufactured GM Front Differentials
These differentials were used on 1988 to 2006 4WD and AWD GM pick-ups and SUVs, covering more than 6.5 million vehicles on the road today, according to ATP.
Steve Horn Joins ATP-Inc.
Horn most recently was the vice president of sales with Champion Laboratories. His background includes executive level sales positions with Perfection Clutch and Dana Corp. In his new role at ATP, Horn’s responsibilities will include the continued development and training of the ATP sales force and the expansion of sales in all primary market channels.

The board of directors of Automatic Transmission Parts (ATP-Inc.) has announced a number of executive appointments. The board has promoted Gary Rogak to president. He most recently served as executive vice president.
ATP President Dick Wolff Dies
Richard “Dick” Wolff, the President of ATP-Inc., died suddenly on Nov. 14. Wolff was one of the founders of Automatic Transmission Parts, Inc. which was formed in 1955. Wolff was active in many industry organizations. He was very active in Project TEAM, an organization which helped educate young people for a career as automotive technicians. He was also involved in many community organizations and formerly sat on the board of a major bank in the Chicagoland area.
ATP-Inc. to Produce Illustrated Parts Catalog Internally Using e-Publisher
The e-Publisher catalog management system from Vertical Development Inc. (VDI) has given replacement parts supplier ATP-Inc. the capability to generate illustrated parts lists and catalogs internally, bypassing traditional typesetting and desktop publishing services. According to VDI, the system will also allow ATP to produce literature faster and export data mapped in industry-standard formats.
