MACS Presents Simon Oulouhojian Technical Achievement Award

Gunnery Sergeant Joshua Draper, USMC, was honored with MACS Simon Oulouhojian Technical Achievement Award at EXPRESS TRAIN! MACS 26th annual Convention and Trade Show. Created to honor the legacy of MACS co-founder, mobile A/C industry leader and technical training advocate Simon Oulouhojian, Sr., the Technical Achievement award recognizes and encourages efforts by mobile A/C industry service technicians to work to attain a high level of technical knowledge and proficiency. Gunnery Sergeant Draper is MACS certified and a Section 609 MACS Proctor Trainer helping to certify United States Marines in refrigerant recovery and recycling and A/C field repair.

MACS Reports Record Attendance for 2006 Convention and Trade Show

More than 2,000 attendees registered and attended MACS EXPRESS TRAIN! Convention and Trade Show, which took place January 25-28, at the Caribe Royale Hotel and Convention Center in Florida. An all-time record was set for the 26-year-old MACS event. The convention featured more than 48 hours of automotive, heavy-duty, off-road mobile A/C and engine cooling system service training with 83 speakers presenting over the three day event. The trade show featured 146 exhibitors in 244 booths. Twenty-four exhibitors were new to the show this year with many joining the industry-requested engine cooling and heat transfer section.

The Mobile Air Conditioning Society Worldwide (MACS) announced that it has sold out booth space for its 2006 convention and trade show – EXPRESS TRAIN! – being held Jan. 25-28, 2006 at the Caribe Royale Hotel and Convention Center in Florida. Twenty-four exhibitors are new to the show this year with many joining the new engine cooling and heat transfer section.

Online Registration for NACE Now Open

The International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) announced that online registration is now live and open at www.NACEexpo.com. Attendees can choose from Member/Non-Member Full-Congress ($285/$325), Spouse ($245) or IBIS@NACE ($350) Packages, as well as Expo Only Registration ($15) – all of which include the NACE Exposition and admittance to SEMA and AAPEX. Those registering for any of the packages, will be notified in mid-July to make their conference session selections.
