Dave Caracci, retired VP from Robert Bosch, has returned to his first love – racing. In part three of this multi-part series, Caracci takes us behind the scenes on the road with Prime Time Racing, where he serves as Logistics Engineer. Having accomplished a Top 5 finish in the international 12-hour race at Sebring, the team went on to race in the streets of St. Petersburg, where the Viper was totaled following a collision with one of the Penske team Porsches. Dave brings us up to speed since then.

The automotive aftermarket is big business, Northwood University President Keith Pretty commented during Thursday’s dedication of the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies. “In fact, it’s very big business,” he said, adding the industry’s annual revenues are approaching $300 billion. “This is bigger than the gross national product of many nations around the globe.” And Northwood is an integral part of the equation to help keep the economic engine of the automotive aftermarket humming along, Pretty believes.

Steve Seabourne is president and CEO of AIM. Seabourne has more than 30 years of experience with AIM. For the past five years, he has had overall responsibility for the company as president. Seabourne has hands-on manufacturing expertise with active participation in all aspects of the business from teardown and assembly to purchasing, marketing, cataloging and sales. He is a double major graduate of the University of California at Davis with a B.S. in biological sciences and a B.A. in economics. Uni-Select in Talks to buy Thompson & Co.
Jacques Landreville, Uni-Select president and chief executive officer, announced yesterday that Uni-Select has agreed to purchase the assets of Thompson & Co., Inc. as well as the assets of MGT, Inc (also known as RPM Auto Parts), which operate a distribution center, eight branch locations and one store in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Northwood University Announces Groundbreaking for Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies
Northwood University President Keith Pretty, J.D. has extended to the community an open invitation to the ground-breaking ceremony for The Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies. The groundbreaking ceremony for this 25,500-square-foot, state-of-the-art education center will take place at 11 a.m. on March 21, at the building site near the back parking lot behind the NADA Center. A reception and lunch will follow at 12 noon in the NADA Education Center. The Northwood University Michigan campus is located at 4000 Whiting Drive in Midland, MI.
