OptiCat Announces ’10 Minutes to Market’ Data Availability from its Do-It-Once Repository

OptiCat last week promoted the new capabilities and product lookups at AAPEX, through the sponsorship of AASA and several leading AASA supplier members.

LAS VEGAS – OptiCat, a new data aggregator, repository and delivery data pool for the automotive aftermarket, announced last week at AAPEX that its "Do It Once" (DIO) Repository will present ready-to-use data in 10 minutes from the time a supplier uploads the data. OptiCat has dubbed this capability “10 Minutes to Market.”

“Data time to market is critical to selling parts through the independent aftermarket, and OptiCat has worked diligently over the past few months to engineer its software, server environment and user interface to optimize operation efficiencies. The result is the OptiCat DIO Repository, which will present ‘10 Minutes to Market,’ ready-to-use data,” said Brad Duncan, president of OptiCat.

“This is a significant game-changer and will revolutionize the aftermarket’s data supply chain as we know it,” added Steve Handschuh, president and COO of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), which owns OptiCat along with MindQuest and TecDoc. “AASA has been an active participant as OptiCat has developed its suite of technologies and software, which has been thoroughly tested and launched for production. Live data in industry standard formats is now being uploaded by leading aftermarket parts suppliers and downloaded by select channel partners, or data receivers.”

The application, product attribute and digital asset data represents a significant portion of the North American automotive aftermarket business, according to Handschuh.
