Omnitek Selected as Solution Provider for ZFTNA

MISSION VIEJO, CA — ZF Trading (ZFT) has selected Omnitek Information Systems to assist them in upgrading the ZF Trading North America Computerized Automotive Research System (CARS) for use by all of ZF’s global companies.

ZF Trading has already successfully implemented the system with full compatibility to TecDoc standards in Europe. Now, the company would like to utilize a common database for all its group companies around the globe. ZF Trading required a vendor that could provide a system that can produce catalogs in PDF Format, export to different e-Cat files as well marry the database to the corporate database with TecDoc Standards.

Omnitek will assist ZF by upgrading its CARS product to Omnitek’s latest version, which utilizes ACES VCDB to link application information. Omnitek’s CARS product updates ACES VCDB on an on-going basis using its proprietary web services. Omnitek’s solution will keep building internally the ACES-TecDoc links and will export the TecDoc information automatically or on an on-demand basis. This will keep the global resource database of ZFT updated.

InCat (a CD lookup product) and WebCat (a Web lookup product) developed by ZFT can also be used by ZFT’s subsidiary companies in other countries without major re-write of the programs.

ZFTNA will be demonstrating ACES / TecDoc interface at the AAPEX Show 2007 in Las Vegas, Booth #5900.
