NUCAP NRS Technology Offers Drivers Quieter, Longer-Lasting Brake Pads, According To Company

More than 750 million brake pads equipped with NRS have been sold to date with zero attachment failures, NUCAP says.

TORONTO — NUCAP continues to deliver innovative technology solutions to the automotive aftermarket with its NRS mechanical attachment system for brake pad backing plates, according to the company. “Research shows that poor-quality brake pad backing plates are a major cause of brake system noise, vibration and durability issues,” said Jayson Keever, NUCAP’s director of global marketing. “Our NRS technology was developed to help our customers eliminate brake system comebacks and warranty returns. Pads manufactured with NRS last up to 30 percent longer by avoiding common causes of pad failure like rust jacking, edge lift and friction material delamination.”

More than 750 million brake pads equipped with NRS have been sold to date with zero attachment failures. “Installers are seeing fewer comebacks and more satisfied customers,” said Keever. “We’re so confident in the performance of pads equipped with NRS, we launched an industry-first 100 Percent Brake Pad Performance Guarantee in May."

Hundreds of NRS hooks create a permanent bond with the friction material, and this innovative mechanical attachment technology holds the friction material better than any adhesive bond. NRS is one of the many solutions NUCAP has developed in support of the aftermarket and OE brake product to provide more safe, quiet and cost effective products, NUCAP says.
