NRS Brakes Launches New Galvanized Brake Pad Line, New Fleet Program At AAPEX 2019

NRS Brakes' new brake pad program for national fleet accounts covers vehicles up to Class 7 and is tailored to the individual fleet operator's vehicles.

NRS Brakes celebrated the recent launch of its new Galvanized Brake Pad line, as well as a new brake pad program for fleets.

NRS Brakes’ new brake pad program for national fleet accounts covers vehicles up to Class 7 and is tailored to the individual fleet operator’s vehicles. The program is designed to offer the best ROI for any fleet, anywhere, and consists of preferred pricing, annual rebate and other size/volume incentives.

Galvanized Brake Pads sets purchased under the program have mechanically attached premium friction on a galvanized steel backing plate. This galvanized steel plate helps fight against rust and corrosion and allows the friction to wear out instead of fall apart, says NRS. This construction prolongs the life of brake pads since the protected steel will not rot and fall apart before the friction has a chance to wear down. Mechanical Retention has also been specified by OE manufacturers on many medium- and heavy-duty applications.

“The show was a great success as we were able to show our new product line to some of the leading buying groups from across the U.S. and Canada.” said Montu Khokhar, CEO of NRS Brakes. “Customers visiting the booth were excited about the new opportunities NRS Galvanized Brake Pads create for them, including profitability at every level of the supply chain ultimately resulting in happy installers and consumers.”

Engineers at NRS Brakes have spent decades researching the nature of galvanization, becoming industry experts in the science behind friction material attachments on galvanized plates.

During APPEX 2019, NRS Brakes also debuted a video during the show done by YouTube channel Engineering Explained. The video, called “Ultimate Brake Test,” compares five brake pad sets for the same application using industry-standard tests at NRS’s testing laboratories. Chris Fix, an automotive DIY YouTube celebrity, also signed autographs and answered fan questions at NRS Brakes’ AAPEX booth.
