MIAMI, Fla. The Broward County Convention Center was again host to one of Florida’s premier automotive events. National Performance Warehouse’s (NPW) third annual FAST Expo brought vendors, retailers, installers and enthusiasts together for an educational and fun day of cars, trucks, products and prizes. NPW recently became part of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, as announced earlier this month.
Again, some 3,000 people showed up to cruise the giant car show, lay claim to several hundred door prizes, including five 50-inch TV’s and a cruise to the Caribbean, while discovering the latest and greatest in maintaining or accessorizing vehicles of every make and model.
Exhibit space increased by 20 percent, according to NPW. In addition to more exhibitors, this year’s event featured manufacturer’s race and product demo trailers such as the ones from Mobil One and Horsepower Sales.
President and CEO Larry Pacey had this to say about this year’s show: "Every year we make improvements and learn from our suppliers and attendees on what they want in an event. Last year, we didn’t do a car show, but we brought that back this year by request and we had more than 150 cars. The setting was just great with the backdrop being the port and the big ships at the water’s edge. They also wanted good weather and more prizes — we delivered on both.”
More than 250 people attended a pre-show banquet where Bumper to Bumper jobbers were honored for the first time. Other awards for Rep of the Year and Supplier of the Year also were presented.
The next scheduled NPW event is the Speed Warehouse CARS Expo, scheduled for April 1 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
