PALM BEACH, Fla. Attendees at this year’s Northwood University Florida Auto Show will get a chance to hear from South Floridian auto dealer, author and consumer advocate Earl Stewart and Tori Morandi, manager of the industry publication Auto Trader, who will sit on an expert panel to discuss ethics in business and emerging automotive trends.
The panel will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at Northwood’s Turner Education Center Auditorium prior to its ribbon-cutting beginning at 5:30 p.m.
"In an increasingly complex and critical business environment it is important for my students, who will one day embark on a career in the automotive industry, to understand the importance of ethical behavior and sound business practices," said Timothy Gilbert, department chair, Automotive Marketing and Management. "For franchised automobile dealers, Mr. Stewart has simplified the equation of successful business to one essential ingredient do the right thing for others and they will do the right thing toward you. Many dealers over the years have deviated from a good, core business philosophy only to end up with a very bad reputation, which has carried over to other dealers irrespective of whether they are ethical or not. Swiftly and surely this must change, and I want it to start with my students."
With more than 10 years of experience as a public speaker and expert trainer, Tori Morandi brings a unique and energetic style that engages audiences and promotes learning. Her presentations for AutoTrader.com cover what’s happening in the industry, today’s automotive consumer, emerging trends and what’s new with advertising and marketing on the Internet.
