No Recession at 1-800-Radiator

1-800-Radiator says growth is coming from the strength of the franchise network and its owners.

BENICIA, Calif. — Despite frequent reports of gloom and doom in the automotive sector, 1-800-Radiator, a distributor and franchisor of automotive cooling and heating replacement parts, says its business is booming.

The company says it has already recorded a number of million-dollar days as the summer driving season gets underway.

"We’re ramping up our inventory, beating our monthly projections and facing our biggest year yet," says Joe Rippey, president of 1-800-Radiator. "The franchise model continues to show it is the dominant force in this market."

"In a recessed economy, people tend to make good with what they have, whether that means cooking what’s in the pantry instead of eating out or knitting their own sweaters instead of heading to the mall. In the automotive world, consumers are buying new radiators as an alternative to springing for a new car," said Rippey.

1-800-Radiator says growth is coming from the strength of the franchise network and its owners. The locally owned and operated 1-800-Radiator shops have those extra touches that have catapulted them beyond their competition, the company says. 1-800-Radiator says having the largest inventory in North America, same day delivery and a hands-on approach to customer service are just some of the keys to their success.
