NGK Spark Plugs Honored by GM

WIXOM, MI – NGK Spark Plugs was recently honored by General Motors for overall excellence in supporting GM’s product efforts. GM honored NGK during ceremonies Jan. 11 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, MI.

“GM strives to build the best cars and trucks in the world, and the leadership and employees of NGK Spark Plugs represent what it takes to make GM’s products successful,” said Bo Andersson, GM vice president, global purchasing and supply chain. “We honor these companies at the North American International Auto Show to remind the industry and the public and to illustrate the critical role our suppliers play in developing GM vehicles globally.”

“We are honored by this prestigious award and appreciate the acknowledgement of General Motors,” said Shinich Odo, president and CEO of NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc. “Winning this award is a testament to the NGK team and our commitment to provide our customers with superior quality and service.”

This is the sixth year GM has honored suppliers at the North American International Auto Show. The supplier awards recognize a supplier’s performance in quality, cost and delivery, as well as contributions to production and concept vehicles GM unveils at the NAIAS.
