New Interactive Website From Philips Automotive Lighting Helps Drivers Find And Choose The Right Light

Innovative and interactive simulator highlights features and benefits of upgrade lighting, company says.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Philips Automotive’s new website at Philips.com/automotive makes it easier for consumers to find the right light for their driving needs from the latest innovations and advancements in automotive lighting and accessories, the company says.

Built around Philips’ new range of premium upgrade headlight bulbs and daytime running lights, this interactive site helps drivers to see the advantages and benefits each light offers so they can determine which light best suits their needs.

The interactive lighting selector helps the driver select the best headlight bulb for their vehicle. Philips 3D light simulator presents an exterior view of the lights and also demonstrates their performance from the driver’s view.

According to Ann-Marie Hines, Philips senior marketing manager, "The interactive lighting selector and 3D light simulator give our website an innovative approach to the consumer that no other lighting website offers. It will make it easier for drivers to better understand the advanced technology and performance offered by our range of upgrade headlight bulbs, so they can choose the one best suited of their needs."

The new site also links to www.daylight-led.com/cars, another new Philips website that features an interactive vehicle simulator for Philips LED DayLight Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). This simulator allows drivers to upload an image of their vehicle and see how either the Philips LED DayLight 4 or LED DayLight 8 will look on their vehicle. Drivers can also print out full-size paper pattern prints of the DRLs and place them right on the vehicle.

Philips offers a premium line of upgrade headlight bulbs. These include: Philips Vision, which provides 30 percent more light; Philips VisionPlus, offering 60 percent more light; Philips X-treme Vision, which can deliver up to 100 percent more light than standard halogen headlight bulbs; and Philips CrystalVision Ultra, a Xenon-powered halogen headlight bulb for drivers who are looking to add styling and performance to their vehicle with the bright white look of HID, the company says.

Philips new LED DayLight 4 and LED DayLight 8 Daytime Running Lights deliver immediate safety benefits to drivers by substantially increasing the vehicle’s visibility to other drivers and pedestrians. They also add the stylish look of high performance seen on today’s high-end vehicles.
