SOUTHFIELD,Mich. – Federal-Mogul has released a new Fel-Pro Master Gasket Catalog (No. 900) that includes nearly 800 additional part numbers for domestic and import applications with late-model coverage for passenger cars and light trucks manufactured between 1991 and 2011.
According to Federal-Mogul, this comprehensive catalog includes a dramatically enhanced format featuring more complete and user-friendly application listings to help parts professionals and engine builders quickly identify the correct Fel-Pro gaskets for their sealing repairs.
To help counter and engine service professionals more easily find the right gasket for any repair, the catalog breaks out engine families into separate listings for each engine design and VIN. In addition, exclusive Fel-Pro premium gasket technologies are now clearly noted within each listing to help parts professionals and do-it-yourselfers identify the bestapplication-specific materials available for their repair, the company says.
“On any application our customers can see if Fel-Pro offers a premium, problem-solving gasket in addition to the standardproduct,” said Fel-Pro Product Manager Jim Daigle. "This is particularly important in cases where an engine might be prone to sealing issues in the aftermarket repair environment or when a competing gasket set doesn’t include all of the parts needed to complete a high-quality repair."
Among the new products covered in the catalog are nearly 60 additional Fel-Pro PermaTorque MLS head gaskets, dozens of which cover popular import engines. The catalog also highlights the brand’s line of PermaDryPlus intake manifold gaskets, and for the first time includes premium material callouts for Fel-Pro PermaDryPlus timing cover gaskets featuring liquid elastomer molding (LEM) technology. In total, the catalog includes more than 80 new head gaskets, 105 new head sets, 127 additional manifold sets and nearly 140 new oil pan, timing cover and valve cover sets.
