BETHESDA, MD Interested in learning if consumers are doing more maintenance because of higher gas prices, or whether protecting the environment is a motivator to take better care of their vehicles? All new survey results of consumer attitudes and behavior, as well as complete results of vehicle inspections during April and October Car Care Month events, will be part of a special education session hosted by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) during AAPEX.
The session will be held from 8 to 9 am on Thursday, Nov. 1, in room 203 of the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
The presentation on the "Be Car Care Aware" consumer education campaign will be presented by Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council and AAIA’s senior vice president, marketing and member relations. White will report exclusive results of a recent national consumer survey about vehicle maintenance and provide data on specific parts, components and maintenance neglected by motorists.
White will report on the progress of the aftermarket’s consumer education outreach and provide business-building advice on how and why repair shops, franchises, parts stores and distributors should get involved. Each attendee will receive a "How To" CD/DVD and copy of the new Car Care Guide.
Seating is limited and there is no charge to attend.
