TEMPE, AZ — The National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) held its 32nd annual Knowledge Exchange conference last month in Tempe, Ariz. Since 2004, the organization has been using its annual meeting as an opportunity to raise money for the Aftermarket Foundation. Founded in 1959 as the Jesselson Benevolent Association, the Aftermarket Foundation assists individuals and families in the automotive aftermarket through difficult times.

Building on the momentum of last year’s conference, the NCMA almost doubled its previous fundraising total of $3,300 dollars, for a total donation of more than $6,200.

“We are very pleased with the growth and momentum of our fundraising efforts,” said Mark Seng of Federal-Mogul, president of the NCMA. “Both the membership and our vendor partners are to be congratulated on their generous and enthusiastic contributions to such an important cause.”

At the meeting in Tempe, the NCMA raised money for the foundation through its golf outing, a silent auction and a raffle. In addition, Technologue, Inc. held a raffle in conjunction with the NCMA Vendor Trade Show where they donated a 32” flat screen television.

“I was happy and honored to participate,” said Nick Porrini, president of Technologue, Inc. and a member of the Aftermarket Foundation board of directors. “The foundation is greatly thankful for the efforts of the NCMA and for selecting the Aftermarket Foundation as the cause to support.”

The NCMA event included many sponsors that assisted with donations and sponsorships including Technologue Inc., Activant Solutions, Wrenchead Inc., 21st Century Graphic Technologies, Pricedex, Illumaware, Mitsubishi Electric, Federal-Mogul, Denso Sales, Affinia, Genuine Parts Company and Pep Boys.
