BETHESDA, Md. The National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) Knowledge Exchange conference, taking place April 24-27 in San Antonio, Texas, will feature technical breakout sessions and market expert presentations. The theme of the conference is "Content Without Borders" and will address the growing range of catalog and automotive product content required in the aftermarket. Capitalizing on the location, NCMA will also focus on the Mexican aftermarket with several presentations and a panel of store operators from Mexico.
"The annual conference is our best opportunity to present valuable technical training and education to our members and colleagues across the industry," said NCMA President Mark Richardson, manager of cataloging, Falcon Steering. "Our attendees are counted on by their companies to deliver rich, accurate content that adds to the bottom line. Our agenda ensures that NCMA attendees have got a real advantage."
Breakout sessions are scheduled to include the Activant ACES Assessment; Converting from AAIA Legacy to ACES; Understanding the New Features of ACES 3.0; and a Guide to Working with PIES XML.
Market experts John Washbish, Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, and Evaristo Garcia, formerly of JATO Dynamics, will round out the Knowledge Exchange agenda. Washbish will draw on his extensive experience as a WD, a major aftermarket supplier and now president of a leading program distribution group to describe the benefits and rewards of focusing on world-class content as a strategic advantage. Garcia will help NCMA attendees understand the similarities and differences between the U.S. aftermarket and Mexico. Garcia will then moderate a panel discussion with several store operators and catalog end-users from Mexico.
The 37th annual NCMA Knowledge Exchange will take place April 24-27 at the Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Registration is $495 for members and $695 for non-members.
