National Pronto Association Honors Honeywell Friction Materials At Annual Meeting

Bendix receives "Partner of the Year" and "Supplier of the Year" awards.

TROY, Mich. – The National Pronto Association recognized Honeywell Friction Materials as its 2013 “Supplier of the Year” and “Partner of the Year” at the group’s recent annual meeting. Honeywell Friction Materials supplies Pronto members with a comprehensive line of premium brake pads and hard parts.

The event, which took place on Sept. 17 in San Antonio, Texas, brought together more than 800 Pronto participants, all of whom were asked to vote on which suppliers should receive the eight vendor awards presented during the event. Pronto has members throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada.

The Supplier of the Year Award recognition was based on the Bendix team’s ability to deliver on product quality, profitability, delivery performance, service, support, marketing, technology and manpower. This is the second year in a row that Honeywell received this honor.

The Bendix team also won The Partner of the Year Award based on the company’s efforts to help Pronto members grow sales and profitability, as well as assist with local marketplace challenges.

“We are honored that the Bendix team was the recipient of these awards and would like to thank The Pronto Association for recognizing us,” said Jim Kelley, Honeywell Friction Materials’ director of sales for the Americas. “We’re proud that our business relationship has turned into a true partnership.”

“The fact that the Pronto membership has once again honored Bendix – at this year’s awards ceremony – speaks volumes about what two companies can accomplish when they really set their minds to it,” said Mike Mohler, AAP, National Pronto Association vice president. “These two awards, in particular, are a great manifestation of our gratitude for all of the things Bendix does right.”
