TORRANCE, Calif. – Motorcar Parts of America has been selected by the CAWA – Representing the Automotive Parts Industry as the exclusive sponsor for its 2014 Gala. The event is the organization’s annual gathering where the Red Vest is awarded to the outgoing association chair of the board of directors.
This year’s gala will be held at the Paris Hotel & Spa, in conjunction with other major industry events in Las Vegas that week: AWDA, AAPEX and SEMA. The program will feature keynote speaker John Passante, president and CEO of The Organizational Development Group, a respected industry consultant.
“MPA invests in the future of the aftermarket, and recognizes CAWA for their role in supporting students,” remarks Selwyn Joffe, president and CEO of MPA. “We are delighted to once again sponsor this year’s Gala.”
All proceeds from the event go to the CAWA Memorial Scholarship Fund, which promotes quality and high standards through education within the automotive aftermarket industry. The scholarship is awarded to a student in a curriculum leading to a degree or certificate in an accredited college, university or technical institute.
