Motorcar Parts of America’s Torrance Facility Gets ISO/TS 16949 Re-Certified by NSF International

MPA's manufacturing facility in Mexico also recently received ISO/TS 16949:2009 re-certification.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Motorcar Parts of America (MPA) has announced that its manufacturing facility in Torrance, Calif., has received ISO/TS 16949:2009 re-certification by NSF International.

ISO/TS 16949 is a worldwide automotive technical specification that audits product and process quality. ISO/TS 16949 certification provides a common quality standard for international automotive companies.

MPA’s 130,000-square-foot Torrance facility includes the company’s global corporate headquarters, distribution center and technology center. The technology center includes performance-testing labs for proprietary diagnostic equipment. Nearly 70,000 square feet of the facility is designated for product storage.

MPA’s manufacturing facility in Mexico also recently received ISO/TS 16949:2009 re-certification. The 310,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Mexico was completed in 2007 and employs approximately 2,100 team members. The facility includes manufacturing space, a 123,500-square-foot core-sorting operation, extensive warehousing and 35 loading docks.
