Michelin Uses Social Media Stars To Promote Teen Driver Safety

A YouTube series uses humor to raise awareness of tire maintenance and safety among new drivers. Launched in partnership with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, the Beyond the Driving Test campaign aims to help address the role that inexperienced drivers and tire-related problems can play in the 2.2 million vehicle accidents taking place annually in the U.S.

Michelin North America has released a new video by social media site Vine stars Jack and Jack to coincide with National Teen Driver Safety Week. The video also is a part of Michelin’s Beyond the Driving Test </> YouTube series and campaign.

The YouTube series uses humor to raise awareness of tire maintenance and safety among new drivers. Launched in partnership with the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile, the Beyond the Driving Test campaign aims to help address the role that inexperienced drivers and tire-related problems can play in the 2.2 million vehicle accidents taking place annually in the U.S.

“With automobile accidents as the No. 1 killer of teens in the U.S., it is encouraging that these educational videos have been viewed more than a quarter of a million times. It is critical that parents, government and businesses team up to make sure new drivers learn the skills needed to stay safe on the road,” said Pete Selleck, chairman and president of Michelin North America.
