MEMA’s Bob McKenna Appointed to U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Prestigious Committee of 100

Bob McKenna, president and CEO of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), has been appointed to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Association Committee of 100. He is one of eight association executives joining the Committee.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – Bob McKenna, president and CEO of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), has been appointed to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s prestigious Association Committee of 100. He is one of eight association executives joining the Committee.

Founded in 1958, the Association Committee of 100 is comprised of the country’s leading association chief staff executives. These experienced CEOs represent Association members before the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; enhance Chamber lobbying and coalition work; recommend programming; and, strengthen outreach to the business and association community. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing more than three million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.

Four former members of Congress, two Governors and several “Executives of the Year” currently serve on the Committee of 100. The group includes a diverse combination of men and women from throughout the United States representing associations, both national and international.

McKenna has served MEMA as its president and CEO since Oct. 1, 2004. An aftermarket industry veteran with more than 35 years of experience, he came to the association from Atlanta-based Genuine Parts Co. (GPC) where he served as president of the U.S. Automotive Parts Group and chairman of the board for the National Automotive Parts Association (NAPA). Under his leadership, NAPA strengthened its position as a leading distributor in the traditional automotive aftermarket.
