MEMA Elects New Chairman and Officers; Delphi’s Alan Dawes to Serve as 2004-2005 MEMA Chairman

Alan Dawes, vice chairman and CFO of Delphi Corp., has been elected 2004-2005 chairman of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Board of Directors. Outgoing MEMA Chairman Scott Meyer, who stepped down as president of Ken-Tool, was named MEMA president until a permanent president and CEO is found. As a result, Ronald Cutler, TRW Automotive, will continue to serve on the board as past chairman.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Alan Dawes, vice chairman and CFO of Delphi Corp., has been elected 2004-2005 chairman of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Board of Directors.

Dawes serves on Delphi’s board of directors and is also a member of the Delphi Strategy Board, the company’s top policy-making group. He is responsible for Delphi’s finance, information systems and mergers and acquisitions staffs. His duties include oversight of Delphi’s Automotive Holdings Group. Dawes also serves as the executive champion for Delphi’s Financial Task Team.

Outgoing MEMA Chairman Scott Meyer, who stepped down as president of Ken-Tool, was named MEMA president until a permanent president and CEO is found. As a result, Ronald Cutler, TRW Automotive, will continue to serve on the board as past chairman.

Michael Cardone Jr., president and CEO of CARDONE Industries, has been named first vice chairman. Alfred Stecklein, group president, Worldwide Aftermarket, Gates Corp. will serve as second vice chairman.

Executive Committee Members at-large include: Charles (Chip) McClure, CEO and president, Federal-Mogul Corp.; and Terry McCormack, president, Dana Automotive Aftermarket Group.

Alan DeVore, OE president of Mark IV Automotive/Dayco Products LLC, will remain as treasurer. Eugene Ezzell, chairman, president and CEO, Crane Technologies Group, will continue as treasurer.
