MAHLE Filtersysteme GmbH Settles Patent Infringement Lawsuits

The company has amicably settled two patent infringement lawsuits that it filed in the Eastern district of Michigan. The details of the lawsuits and the terms of settlement were not disclosed.

MAHLE Filtersysteme GmbH announced it has amicably settled two patent infringement lawsuits that the company filed in the Eastern district of Michigan. The details of the lawsuits and the terms of settlement were not disclosed.

“MAHLE has a broad patent portfolio secured through decades of leading-edge innovation in original equipment component manufacturing,” said Jon Douglas, general manager, MAHLE Aftermarket North America. “It is important that we protect these patents since they represent our assurance to our customers of our premium quality and performance.”

Douglas went on to state that MAHLE is receptive to exploring purchasing and licensing opportunities related to its patents. “We encourage interested parties to contact MAHLE for more information.”
