Mac Tools Offers Veterans Discounted Franchisee Program

According to Mac Tools, the new incentive program offers veterans the opportunity to own their own business and provides the marketing support and training necessary to help them be successful.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Mac Tools has announced a new incentive program to help veterans begin a new career after their service in the military has concluded. Recognized by the International Franchise Association’s Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran), the new program offers vets or their spouses discounts of up to $10,000 off their starting franchise inventory. Added incentives apply for additional routes.

According to Mac Tools, the new incentive program offers veterans the opportunity to own their own business and provides the marketing support and training necessary to help them be successful. The company’s onboarding and support process provides one month of classroom and field training. Each franchise owner is provided a specified route with at least 325 potential customers. During the onboarding process, new franchise owners ride along with established Mac Tools owners to learn the ropes of running a successful business. Once a franchise is established, ongoing field training and assistance is provided to help the new owners achieve their personal and business goals.

“It takes courage, discipline and determination to run a successful business,” said Ian Ward, franchise onboarding manager, Mac Tools. “By the nature of their training and work experience, military veterans have all these qualities and more. Our military professionals make great business owners and are typically high-performers.”

Each new franchise owner is equipped with access to Mac Tools’ virtual customer portal and mobile business assistant, two digital resources to help them manage their business needs both on the road and at home.

Additionally, franchise owners are provided new promotions every month and are supported by Mac Tools’ national marketing and motor sports exposure. Franchise owners also have the opportunity to attend the annual Mac Tools Tool Fair, where they can participate in additional training opportunities and take advantage of annual inventory specials. Franchise owners also can participate in the Mac Performance Rewards (MPR) program, which offers rebates based on annual purchases.

Arden Hasemann, a current military veteran franchise owner in Greeley, Colo., retired 18 months ago as a master sergeant after 28 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard. “I’ve always had an interest in tools. I was a mechanic in the military, and we used Mac Tools for a lot of the special equipment we worked on. So I was already a big fan. As a new business owner, I immediately recognized the strength of the Mac Tools brand, and with the training, marketing support and incentives they provided, my business is doing very well. I made the right decision to go with Mac Tools.”

Dennis Boeckers of Sauk Centre, Minn., was also a mechanic in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1974. But after a long civilian career as a mechanic, a serious back injury forced him to reconsider his options. “I was at a point in my life that I didn’t know what I was going to do,” said Boeckers. “Mac Tools offered me an alternative that allowed me to make a good living, even with my disability. Plus, the veterans’ incentives, training and support helped me get up and running quickly.”

To be eligible for the military incentive program, each veteran must provide documentation certifying an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps or Navy. For more information on Mac Tools military veteran franchise opportunities, visit www.mactools.com/veteran.
