Leadership Workshop Coming to Detroit Area May 22-23

MIDLAND, MI — The University of the Aftermarket’s “Leadership Development Workshop,” a day-and-a-half program designed to help aftermarket professionals identify and enhance their leadership skills, will be offered May 22-23 in Troy, MI.

Intended for aftermarket professionals with any level of experience, the workshop (Course #G553) will provide the tools and information participants need to evaluate their leadership potential, understand the characteristics of empowered leaders and develop the basic skills required of professionals placed in leadership roles.

“Everyone ‘leads’ in certain situations within their workplace and in other industry activities, either due to circumstances or their own drive to take on more responsibility,” explains workshop leader Dr. Russ Griffin. “But being successful in these situations requires a special set of skills – skills we’ll help each participant identify and develop.”

The workshop also will help participants multiply their effectiveness through specialized coaching skills. Through informal and formal coaching sessions, participants will learn to build trusting relationships with employees in order to bring out the best from each individual.

Workshop participants will earn 1.2 continuing education credits that may be applied to an automotive aftermarket professional designation available through the University of the Aftermarket. These designations include Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) and Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP).

The “Leadership Development Workshop” will take place at the Troy, MI, campus of Northwood University, 1900 W. Big Beaver Road, Suite 200, Troy, MI 48084.

For more information and to enroll in the workshop, call 1-800-551-2882 or visit: http://www.univaftmkt.org.
