GLENWILLOW, OH — Stride Tool’s Imperial brand of HVAC and specialty tools, celebrated its 100th anniversary in January.
The company started in January 1905 as the Imperial Brass Manufacturing Co. Stride Tool purchased Imperial when it bought the tools and accessories division of the Imperial Eastman Co. in 1996. Since that time, Imperial’s customer base has expanded in such international markets as the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Australia and Brazil.
According to Stride Tool CEO Ron Ortiz, Imperial has maintained its tradition of quality over the years. “Imperial has had a global presence for many years, and Stride Tool greatly expanded that presence,” said Ortiz. “We serve the needs of our global customers with the same dedication and innovation that have been our trademark since this company was founded.”
“Our major investments illustrate our commitment to our Imperial product line,” said Lori Northrup, Stride Tool board chairman. “We plan to introduce more products with the same emphasis on quality that Imperial costumers have depended on for a century.”
