Honeywell Friction Materials Expands Portfolio To Cover An Additional 48 Million Vehicles

All value-added parts like hardware, sensors and clips are right in the box helping technicians be more efficient and making their jobs easier, the company states.

TROY, Mich. – Honeywell Friction Materials, maker of Bendix and Stop by Honeywell brakes, has expanded its aftermarket catalog with the addition of 101 new model numbers in the first quarter of 2014. These new offerings provide coverage for an additional 48 million vehicles on the road today in the United States.

Specifically, the company emphasized growth in brake hoses, adding coverage for 35 million vehicles, as well as growth with its friction offerings, adding coverage for 13 million vehicles. These new offerings also include the content enhancements. All value-added parts like hardware, sensors and clips are right in the box helping technicians be more efficient and making their jobs easier, the company states.

Stop by Honeywell also was a focus during the quarter, with the introduction of 29 new disc pads, including coverage for the following vehicle models:

·         2012-2013 Chevrolet Silverado
·         2011-2014 Ford Mustang
·         2009-2014 Audi A4

These new parts will enable technicians to offer premium brake service on a wide range of new and late-model vehicles from both foreign and domestic automotive manufacturers, Honeywell said.
