RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC The 2007 HD Dialogue, organized by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), will feature a stellar line-up of analysts and industry experts forecasting the future of the heavy duty industry on Monday, Jan. 22, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The event will give insight into the global marketplace, future economic and market trends, industry predictions and technology.
Scheduled speakers include:
· Gov. Bill Graves, president and CEO of the American Trucking Associations, is the scheduled keynote speaker and will give a luncheon address on, "The North American Commercial Vehicle Industry as Seen through the Eyes of a Life-Long Trucker."
· Dennis Kline, HDMA chairman, and vice president, Worldwide Truck Sales & Marketing, Arvin Meritor will give the opening remarks for Heavy Duty Dialogue.
· Jeffrey Rosensweig, associate dean, Goizuetta School of Business, Emory University, will present “Future Trends for the Global Marketplace An Economist/Futurist’s View.”
· Ed Pence, vice president automotive, Cummins Engine Co., and George Zirnhelt, president and CEO, Power Systems Research Inc. will present an address on “The Commercial Vehicle Powerplant Market.”
· Derek Kaufman, president and CEO, C3 Network will give a talk on “What Are We Doing? And Where Are We Going? A Futurist’s View.”
Panel discussions will include:
· Sandeep Kar, senior industry analyst, Frost & Sullivan, will moderate a panel of industry experts on “Growth Opportunities Presented by Advanced and Innovative Technologies.” Panelists who will be participating are Garrick Hu, vice president engineering, Arvin-Meritor Inc.; Norm Ellis, vice president and general manager transportation and logistics, Qualcomm; Joe McAleese, president and CEO, Bendix CVS/Knorr Bremse; Dan Lindberg, vice president and CFO, International Truck and Engine Co.; and John Coll, general manager, Eaton Aftermarket and Vehicle Solutions Division.

· Peter Nesvold, transportation analyst, Bear Stearns, will interview a panel of industry experts on the topic of “The Next 10 Years of Commercial Vehicle Industry.” Panelists include Chuck Kleinhagen, executive vice president, Haldex AB; Gary Edwards, president and CEO, Phillips and Temro Industries; Terry Keating, CEO, Accuride Corp.; Jim Sweetnam, president, Eaton Truck Components Division.
