Approximately 100 guests attended the grand opening, including Hankook Tire America Corp. President Soo Il Lee, Frank Gambatese, the mayor of South Brunswick, N.J., and Hankook Tire dealers and employees.

The facility is more than 400,000 square feet and can hold approximately 610,000 passenger, light truck and commercial tires. It also is located close to major metropolitan centers, including New York City, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., and area shipping ports, making it ideal for Hankook’s dealers and shippers, the company says.

“This facility’s increased storage capacity and ideal location, with convenient access to the area’s major metropolitan centers and ports, will allow us to better serve our customers and fulfill orders more efficiently,” said Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook Tire America Corp. “Providing exceptional service to our customers is very important to us, and this new facility is a clear commitment to that dedication.”

Hankook Tire America Corp. operates five regional warehouses across the United States, with locations in New Jersey, Tennessee, Texas, Illinois and California.
