Haldex to Supply Compressors

Haldex, a manufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty air brake system and suspension control system components, has signed a contract to supply air compressors to a major global engine manufacturer for its North American production. The company's Air Management Division, a part of its Commercial Vehicle Systems business, will deliver the new air compressors beginning in late 2005. The contract is estimated to have a $75 million value over the life of the contract.

KANSAS CITY, MO — Haldex, a manufacturer and distributor of heavy-duty air brake system and suspension control system components, has signed a contract to supply air compressors to a major global engine manufacturer for its North American production. The company’s Air Management Division, a part of its Commercial Vehicle Systems business, will deliver the new air compressors beginning in late 2005. The contract is estimated to have a $75 million value over the life of the contract.

This is an important strategic step for Haldex in its efforts to regain leadership in engine-mounted compressors for air brake systems, and fulfill its strategy to supply the global commercial vehicle market with complete air brake systems.
