O’Reilly Automotive, Inc. announced an agreement with GCommerce, Inc. to assist with the continued expansion of PARTnerShip Network for electronic document exchange with O’Reilly’s vendors. DES MOINES, IA — O’Reilly Automotive, Inc. announced an agreement with GCommerce, Inc. to assist with the continued expansion of PARTnerShip Network for electronic document exchange with O’Reilly’s vendors. GCommerce will act as an integration services provider for O’Reilly’s vendors who do not currently support electronic document exchange or require a third-party solution provider.

Mike Swearengin, SVP of merchandising for O’Reilly, stated, “Connecting to our suppliers, using the Partnership Network, is the backbone of O’Reilly’s Technology Road Map. The focus and expertise of GCommerce will help both O’Reilly and its suppliers to realize cost savings and supply chain efficiencies at a quicker pace.”

Steven Smith, president and CEO of GCommerce, stated, “We are honored to represent O’Reilly, and are certain that our industry experience will be a tremendous asset in the implementation of Partnership Network with their suppliers. Our flexible options allow both high-tech and low-tech companies to participate in the efficiencies of electronic document exchange.”

The PARTnerShip Network is a software application that enables the secure, reliable exchange of business documents, such as purchase orders, advance ship notices and invoices, via the Internet.

The technology solutions firm also brokered an agreement with member-based marketing co-op AAM US to connect all 18 of its warehouse distributors with vendors to exchange electronic business documents. GCommerce will act as an integration services provider for AAM’s vendors who do not currently support electronic document exchange or require a third-party solution provider.

“The GCommerce solution, CommerceConX, allows us to reliably and securely trade business documents (such as purchase orders, acknowledgements, advance ship notices and invoices) with our vendors,” said Tim Odom, president of AAM USA.

“To date, we have commitments in place with several members, some of which have been using GCommerce in limited relationships with individual vendors. AAM’s goal is to enlist all of our members and vendors in CommerceConX so that we can provide a simple, consistent method of ordering for our members, and show vendors a lower cost of servicing AAM members.”

Headquartered in Johnson City, TN, AAM specializes in automotive performance and accessory products and is comprised of two separate marketing entities, Parts Pro and Trux Stuff.
