Gabriel Expands ReadyMount Pre-Assembled Strut Line

Expansion includes 140 SKUs and 2,000 applications, covering more than 105 million vehicles.

TROY, Mich. – The Original Gabriel (Ride Control LLC), has announced it will offer more than 140 ReadyMount fully assembled SKUs before the end of January 2012. At that time, Gabriel ReadyMount coverage will exceed 105 million vehicles with 2,000 applications, the company says.

“We are quickly releasing new ReadyMount applications and the total number of offerings will rival the coverage of our major competitors within the next 90 days,” said Lisa Bahash, president and CEO, Gabriel. “In addition, customers can be confident that they are getting an extremely well-engineered product design that has been extensively tested for durability, performance, fit and ride.”

New applications will be immediately available as they are released, according to Ride Control, and can be ordered when customers receive availability notice from their Gabriel sales representatives. The new parts also are immediately added into Gabriel’s website part search and to its recently upgraded mobile part search at the same time.

All new Gabriel designs are precision engineered to OEM specifications, before Gabriel tests the unit and components for durability and wear on a quarter car testing rig, the company notes. Then Gabriel Answerman technicians manually fit-test and ride-test every new design to ensure it fits properly and meets Gabriel high standards.

“As a structural subassembly of the steering/suspension system of the vehicle, customers have a lot riding on the pre-assembled struts selected. That’s why Gabriel goes to such great lengths in the design and testing of Gabriel ReadyMount assemblies,” continues Bahash.

According to Ride Control, Gabriel ReadyMount assemblies typically shorten a “four-corner” installation job by up to one and one-half hours for a technician because all of the components are included in the unit – there’s no time spent disassembling and reassembling an entire unit. In addition, all the parts are new and fully assembled so there is no chance of missing parts, no special equipment is required and installations are faster and safer, especially for the DIYers who may not be familiar with the complexity of a traditional strut job, the company says.

Gabriel ReadyMounts use precision-engineered Gabriel strut designs that have been validated to 1 million cycles and that feature Gabriel G-Force technology to improve tire contact with the road. Like all Gabriel shocks and struts, they have super-finished chromed piston rods that inhibit corrosion and enhance product life, the company says.
