Gabriel 2012 Light Vehicle Catalog Available

Catalog is largest in Gabriel's history, company says.

TROY, Mich. – The Original Gabriel (Ride Control LLC) announced that its printed 2012 light vehicle catalog is now available in the U.S. and Canada. The catalog is the largest Gabriel has ever supplied.

Providing full-line shock and strut coverage for cars, light-trucks, vans and SUVs, the catalog incorporates all new product applications introduced over the past year for Gabriel-branded products.

“Our 2012 full line catalog offers the largest and most complete product line in Gabriel’s 104-year plus history,” said Janet Qian, senior manager, business strategy and marketing, Gabriel. “Gabriel continues to work relentlessly to expand our coverage, broaden lines, test new designs and introduce new products.”

Gabriel’s full line of shock and strut coverage includes Guardian, ProGuard, Ultra, and its premium line, MaxControl, as well as specialty products like Gabriel HiJackers shock absorbers and other accessories. In addition, the company offers precision-engineered pre-assembled ReadyMount strut assemblies, which the company says ensure faster and safer installation of all new struts and component parts including the mount and spring for a complete out-of-the-box replacement solution.

All new Gabriel designs are precision engineered, then fit- and ride-tested. First, Gabriel Answerman technicians fit-test the new designs on the actual vehicles for which they are designed to verify the parts fit properly. Then, the Answerman technical experts ride-test the parts on U.S. roads to verify they meet Gabriel’s quality standards and deliver OE (or better) ride performance, the company says.

“Not only does this help ensure our parts will install properly, but the technicians who fit- and ride-test the designs are the same people customers speak with when they call our Answerman Tech line,” continues Qian. “We think it’s important to make that first-hand knowledge and experience easily accessible to our customers.”

Gabriel says it also uses a super-finished chromed piston rod on every shock and strut it offers to inhibit corrosion, ensure proper seal lubrication, provide a more consistent wear surface and enhance product life.

Product specifications and applications are printed in three languages within the same publication: English, French and Spanish. The catalog is ACES compliant and all new products are available in the new Gabriel website part search and in Gabriel’s smartphone mobile part search. Printed copies of the catalog are available by calling 1-800-251-5932.
