Fujikura Automotive America (FAA) LLC, a manufacturer of electrical wire harness systems and electronic components, announced it has expanded its operations in Michigan by moving its North American automotive headquarters from Novi to Farmington Hills, Michigan. The additional space provides room for expansion of the company’s engineering operations, and to support additional engineering staff as growth dictates. Fujikura Automotive America offers a wide range of automotive products, including wire-harnesses, several types of sensors and electronic products.
“Since 2007, FAA has grown at a compounded annual growth rate of approximately 18 percent per year,” said Daniel Alexander, vice president of sales and marketing for FAA. “Expanding operations will help us meet the demands of our growing customer base while enhancing engineering, research and development.”
FAA says the new facility provides a significantly larger operation as a center of excellence for engineering, sales and executive management serving automotive OEM and Tier customers in the Americas. It also provides capability for vehicle and component engineering evaluations along with as-needed prototype support.
FAA added that it will support its growing manufacturing footprint with assembly facilities throughout Mexico and Paraguay.
