CAXIAS DO SUL, Brazil Fras-le S.A. has announced its results for the second quarter and first half of 2012.
Fras-le reported second quarter total gross revenue before consolidation of R$232 million, 10.8 percent higher than in the first quarter of 2012 and 15.3 percent up from the second quarter of 2011.
Second quarter consolidated net revenue was R$170.2 million, up 12.4 percent from the first quarter of 2012 and 16.8 percent higher than in the second quarter of 2011. Net revenue from the domestic market was R$91.1 million, a 5.2 percent increase over the first quarter of 2012 and up 14.1 percent up from the second quarter of 2011.
Net revenue from the export market was R$79.1 million, 22.1 percent up from the first quarter of 2012 and a 20.1 percent upturn over the second quarter of 2011.
Fras-le Brazil Exports (FOB) were US$28.1 million, an 8.1 percent increase over the first quarter of 2012 and a 13.3 percent decline over the second quarter of 2011.
Sales in foreign markets (exports and units abroad) were US$41.7 million, 14 percent from the first quarter of 2012 and a 0.9 percent increase over the second quarter of 2011.
Consolidated gross profit was R$50.8 million, a 41.1 percent improvement over the first quarter of 2012 and 34 percent up from the first quarter of 2011.
Consolidated net income was R$6.8 million, a 43.3 percent increase over the first quarter of 2012 and 54.3 percent down from the second quarter of 2011.
