Four Seasons Earns AutoZone’s ‘Extra Miler’ Award

The Extra Miler award is presented annually to a select group of AutoZone's several hundred suppliers that go the "extra mile" in terms of service, products and programs.

LEWISVILLE, Texas – Four Seasons was recently presented an “Extra Miler” award at AutoZone’s Vendor Summit meeting, held March 31 to April 1 in Memphis, Tenn. The Extra Miler award is presented annually to a select group of AutoZone’s several hundred suppliers that go the "extra mile" in terms of service, products and programs.

“We are honored to receive this award from AutoZone,” said Dale Burks, vice president of Four Seasons. “This award, in AutoZone’s words, is given to vendors ‘who are unfazed by obstacles, who go above and beyond the call of duty, who exceed expectations and consistently do more than is expected.’ We strive to do that for every customer and it is extremely gratifying when one of our customers takes notice of our hard work and commitment. Everyone at Four Seasons had a hand in earning this award and they should be very proud of this recognition.”

Phil Daniele, AutoZone vice president of merchandising, customer satisfaction presented the “Extra Miler” award to John Gethin, president and COO of Standard Motor Products, parent company of Four Seasons; and Brian Skelly, director of sales Four Seasons, Hayden, ACi and Burks.

In his remarks, Daniele noted that in the spring of 2009 AutoZone decided to change vendors to Four Seasons based upon its ability to support a complete product line with vastly improved coverage, superior cataloging and data content capabilities and its strong production and manufacturing record.  Daniele went on to say that Four Seasons’ ability to quickly turn around their seasonal stock up order was critical in making sure that AutoZone did not miss out on the peak air conditioning summer selling season. He also noted Four Seasons’ active role in sales support and A/C training classes that are now being conducted across the U.S. and that “Four Seasons understands how to drive sales in the category.”
