MILWAUKEE — Johnson Controls has earned Fortune Magazine’s top ranking on its list of America’s Most Admired Companies. This is the third consecutive year Johnson Controls has received the award.
Fortune Magazine’s America’s Most Admired Companies list is based on surveys conducted by the Hay Group, which asks more than 3,700 industry experts to pick 10 companies that excel in areas defined by a specific set of criteria. Candidates are measured on several criteria, including innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment and quality of products/services. Johnson Controls placed first in the category of Motor Vehicle Parts.
"It is truly an honor to receive this prestigious award for the third consecutive year," said Stephen Roell, chairman and CEO, Johnson Controls. "Earning the top ranking on Fortune‘s list indicates we’re strongly focused on our customers. As we work to create smart environments that improve comfort, safety and sustainability in the places where people live, work and travel, our customers and consumers will continue to benefit."
Fortune ‘s ranking is the most current of several recent awards for Johnson Controls, including Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) and PricewaterhouseCooper’s (PWC) recognition as a Gold Class sector leader for sustainability and being identified as one of the 10 Best Corporate Citizens by Industry (auto and vehicle sector) by Corporate Responsibility Officer (CRO) Magazine.
