BETHESDA, MD — The Car Care Council announced this week that the governors of Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada and South Carolina have recently signed proclamations officially declaring April 2005 as National Car Care Month.
“More and more states are realizing the importance of the ‘Be Car Care Aware’ campaign and National Car Care Month,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council. “Through the help of these states, the success of the campaign continues to grow, resulting in a much greater awareness of the importance of preventative vehicle maintenance.”
The state proclamations urge all motorists to “Be Car Care Aware” by inspecting their vehicles and performing maintenance necessary to ensure their vehicle is operating in a safe, efficient and clean manner.
