From Tire Review Staff & Wire Reports
AKRON, OHIO — Starting in April and running through October, Firestone Tire & Service Centers (FTSC) and TiresPlus stores will conduct free Car Care Academy seminars in 35 cities across the U.S. in conjunction with National Car Care Month.
Of the 37 free seminars expected to take place, 27 are open to the public, and 10 are privately hosted by businesses for their employees, reported FTSC.
Nationally recognized automotive educator and former racecar driver Trisha Hessinger will serve as the spokesperson for the Car Care Academy program. “ All drivers – regardless of age or gender – benefit from car care basics,” she said. “Consumers who attend a Car Care Academy will leave empowered with safe driving techniques and confident the next time their car needs service or repair.”
At the seminars, consumers learn about basic but vital car care information, vehicle safety, tire maintenance and safety and overall repair prevention, according to FTSC, which is owned and operated by BFS Retail & Commercial Operations.
