AUBURN HILLS, MI — FEV Engine Technology, a developer of advanced powertrain and vehicle technologies, has announced it will operate under the name of FEV, Inc. as a result of the consolidation of FEV Engine Technology, Inc. and FEV Test Systems, Inc.

In conjunction, the company has also announced an internal restructuring that more closely aligns operations with business growth and the fulfillment of customer needs. As a result of the restructuring, FEV Inc. is also announcing senior executive assignments. The corporate name change, restructuring and executive assignments were effective Jan. 1, 2008. The announcement was made by Gary Rogers, president and CEO of FEV, Inc.

"Marketplace changes, competition and increased productivity with shorter development times demand that companies like ours constantly monitor the way we do business," said Rogers. "These changes reflect our commitment to our customers and will allow us to take advantage of expanded business opportunities in vehicle systems, transmissions, hybrid powertrains and other drivetrain technologies without sacrificing current business."

The company said the integration of the two companies will allow FEV, Inc. to be better positioned to meet the diverse needs of its customer base while maximizing the transfer of knowledge between the test systems developers and the engineering services organization.

Under the reorganization, FEV has established four divisions specific to targeted growth objectives, allowing dedicated teams to focus on specific technology areas, thereby speeding project development times and reducing overall development costs.
