SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Federal-Mogul Corp. celebrated the grand opening of its 9,000-square-meter, state-of-the-art Asia Pacific Headquarters and Technical Center in Shanghai, China, to serve the growing and dynamic Chinese automotive industry.

The facility houses approximately 300 employees including engineering, sales, purchasing and other administrative activities, as well as powertrain dynamometers, vehicle and braking test cells, and an array of laboratory equipment required to develop and test new technology.

"China is and will continue to be a strategic market for the automotive industry and for Federal-Mogul," said President and Chief Executive Officer Jose Maria Alapont.
