Federal-Mogul Aftermarket Team Receives O’Reilly Automotive Training/Technical Award

Federal-Mogul was selected for the award on the basis of its intensive, one-on-one product training provided to thousands of O'Reilly Auto Parts store professionals throughout 2010.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Federal-Mogul’s North American aftermarket sales organization received the prestigious O’Reilly Automotive Training/Technical Award during the annual O’Reilly Managers Conference held Feb. 6-8 in Nashville, Tenn.

Federal-Mogul was selected for the award on the basis of its intensive, one-on-one product training provided to thousands of O’Reilly Auto Parts store professionals throughout 2010.

O’Reilly Automotive is one of the largest specialty retailers of automotive aftermarket parts, tools, supplies, equipment and accessories in the U.S., with more than 3,500 stores in 38 states. The company serves both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets. Among the Federal-Mogul products available through O’Reilly are ANCO wipers, Champion spark plugs, Fel-Pro gaskets, FP Diesel heavy-duty engine components, MOOG steering and suspension parts, National bearings and seals, Precision hub assemblies and universal joints, Sealed Power and Speed-Pro engine parts, Wagner ThermoQuiet brakes and Wagner lighting products.

Federal-Mogul says its field sales force provides almost daily technical training and other assistance for O’Reilly outside and in-store sales personnel. In addition to these ongoing activities, Federal-Mogul representatives conduct a series of training “blitzes” for O’Reilly store employees in major U.S. markets.

“O’Reilly has long been viewed as an industry leader in providing technical education to its store professionals. In light of this tradition of excellence, it is especially rewarding for our field sales force to be recognized as the company’s premier training and technical assistance partner,” said Bob Valenti, national accounts sales manager, North America, Federal-Mogul.
