ELGIN, Ill.Elgin Industries, a leading manufacturer of internal engine components, king pins and other precision-engineered products for the original equipment truck and automotive markets, has been honored as a Navistar Diamond Supplier by Navistar International Corp.

Elgin is one of just 37 companies to earn the commercial vehicle manufacturer’s premier award for product quality, delivery performance and cost efficiency. The award was presented July 21 during a ceremony in Naperville, Ill.

“We are thrilled to have earned this important distinction from one of the world’s leading vehicle manufacturers,” said Elgin Industries President Bill Skok. “Diamond Supplier status is a highly respected quality and service benchmark. Elgin has been a key supplier to Navistar for more than a decade, The company’s OE product portfolio for the commercial vehicle industry includes push rods, king pins and a variety of other advanced-design, fully machined components and systems.
