LAPEER, MI — Durakon Industries, a provider of thermoformed products and paint film technology to the automotive industry, was recognized by Frost & Sullivan as the best aftermarket brand of bedliners. Frost & Sullivan is a premier growth consulting company, which each year presents awards in various categories based on consumer research. br>
The recognition stems from Frost & Sullivan’s Consumer Opinions & Perceptions in the U.S. Light Truck Accessories Aftermarket, in which panelists were asked their opinions on light truck accessories. According to Frost & Sullivan, Durakon’s Duraliner brand has the highest customer satisfaction rating for non-original equipment (OE) brands and for durability, form, fit and function. More than 30 percent of respondents to the survey voted it “Most Durable Bedliner” available in the aftermarket and 25 percent voted Duraliner as the best brand for form, fit and function. According to the survey, Duraliner has a clear advantage over non-OE brands, with a customer rating five times better than the closest competing brand.

Durakon’s products combined have the highest market share, with Duraliner as the single-most installed brand, according to Frost & Sullivan. Also according to the survey, drop-in bedliners generally were preferred over spray-on bedliners primarily because of the convenience factor associated with the installation of the bedliner at the time the vehicle is purchased and its competitive pricing.
