‘Digital Defense: Monitoring Your Products, Brands and Part Numbers on the Web’ Topic of Talk At MEMA Technology Council Fall Conference

The conference is slated for Sunday, Oct. 10, through Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Marco Island, Fla.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Andy Schueneman, general manager of Weber Shandwick, will present "Digital Defense: Monitoring Your Products, Brands and Part Numbers on the Web" at the MEMA Technology Council (MTC) Annual Fall Conference — slated for Sunday, Oct. 10, through Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Marco Island, Fla.

"Supplier products are being sold, brands are being used and part numbers are borrowed — many times without the knowledge of the suppliers," noted Chris Gardner, MTC group executive and vice president, Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA). "Andy’s presentation will help technology, marketing and brand managers understand the tools and processes available to monitor websites, social sites and electronic storefronts in an effort to better manage products and intellectual property online."

The MTC Fall Conference is the only event that focuses on the needs of technology professionals in the aftermarket supplier industry, MEMA says. Individuals who manage customer service, data services, business support, e-commerce, information services, cataloging, forecasting and supply chain should attend the event.

In addition to Schueneman’s presentation, other conference highlights will include:

• Customer Roundtables featuring representatives of Auto-Wares, National Pronto, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Uni-Select

• Future vehicle technologies and how they will impact the aftermarket

• How to establish a data management services department within a manufacturer’s operations

• Current state of the repair professional, repair shop and use of e-commerce technology

• OptiCat: New production tools for suppliers and data receivers

• Data Management: The four Cs of enablement — content, convergence, conveyance and catalog

• Supplier-only session: e-commerce directory, customer matrix, special ordering

• Member Spotlight: Tenneco
