Diesel Association Announces Exclusive Agreement with Performance Automotive Techniques

The Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) has entered into an agreement with Tony Salas of Performance Automotive Techniques to serve as ADS’ exclusive training provider. Under the agreement, all classes will be taught by Salas, who is ASE Master certified and holds a degree in Automotive Technology. Salas’ training classes, which feature performance-based instruction and use in-class discussion and hands-on exercises, focus on issues and topics related to diesel fuel injection and gasoline vehicles.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – The Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) has entered into an agreement with Tony Salas of Performance Automotive Techniques to serve as ADS’ exclusive training provider. Under the agreement, all classes will be taught by Salas, who is ASE Master certified and holds a degree in Automotive Technology.

“Tony’s knowledge and experience in the diesel industry translates into excellent educational opportunities for our members,” said Tom Folmar, ADS president and CEO of Southeast Power Systems Inc. based in Orlando, FL. “We know that the partnership between ADS and Tony will serve only to strengthen our members’ skill and expertise in the diesel industry.”

A former ACDelco and General Motors trainer, Salas has had a broad range of experiences in the corporate and post-secondary sectors. He has worked with various independent shops and dealers where he provided training and educational opportunities. As a technician and instructor, Salas has more than 16 years experience with diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and is fluent in both English and Spanish, enabling ADS to better serve its rapidly growing Latin American membership.

Salas’ training classes, which feature performance-based instruction and use in-class discussion and hands-on exercises, focus on issues and topics related to diesel fuel injection and gasoline vehicles.
