DENSO Earns Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process Certification

The company is a five-time recipient of the award.

Denso - LogoSOUTHFIELD, Mich. ― For the fifth consecutive year, DENSO has earned the Platinum-level Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) certification from Caterpillar Inc.

Caterpillar created the SQEP to recognize suppliers that demonstrate their commitment to excellence, and drive a “zero defects” culture within their organizations. Certification levels include Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, reflected in order of increasing difficulty. Suppliers are certified through SQEP by meeting or exceeding stringent supplier performance standards, such as product quality and shipping performance, which are measured over the course of a 12-month period.

“It’s an incredible honor to receive this award from Caterpillar for five straight years,” said Jim Beeman, senior manager of plant operations at DENSO’s Product and Services Americas – Murrieta, California location. “We’re proud to recognize the hard work, dedication and collaboration put forth by our employees in California, Michigan and globally.”

DENSO Corp’s Anjo plant, located in Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, earned the SQEP platinum certification, and the Nishio plant, located in Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, earned the gold certification.
