DETROIT This year, DENSO International America is stepping up its show floor presence at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) with interactive displays that showcase technologies that "connect" people, cars and society. Also, DENSO will hold a press conference in its main floor NAIAS booth on Monday, Jan. 9, at 5:30 p.m., to announce its manufacturing and product development expansion plan in North America. (The editorial staff of aftermarketNews will report more details as they become available.)
Among its displays, DENSO will show how cars will "connect" and "talk" to other cars and roadside structures like traffic signals. The auto supplier also will feature an interactive display that allows consumers to pick their commute or driving pattern to find what vehicle type or technology best suits their driving needs. DENSO says it also will feature its fuel efficiency technologies that will help automakers meet 54.5 mpg by 2025.
