TROY , MI — Delphi has made a donation to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation General Endowment fund, which is used to support continued education in the aftermarket. The University of the Aftermarket, part of Northwood University , provides business management education to professionals working in the automotive aftermarket.
David Barbeau, VP of Global Sales and Marketing for Delphi Product & Service Solutions, initially contacted the University of the Aftermarket about contributing to the endowment fund. Delphi Product & Service Solutions President Frank Ordonez presented the University with a $10,000 check from Delphi. In a letter that accompanied the check, Ordonez stated, " Delphi is proud to support the continuing education of aftermarket career professionals, and we believe strongly this is a key strategy for all of us in the industry if we are going to continue to thrive in the future."
Commenting on the donation, Dave Caracci, chairman of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation said, "With the explosive growth in global competition for aftermarket business, I believe that it is more important than ever to have the brightest, most informed professionals working in our industry. It is apparent by this latest commitment to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, that Delphi, with it’s global view of the industry shares that belief."
